Normally when portraying animals, one concentrates (and focusses) on the eye - so what happens with piggy wigs whose eyes are deep set to the extent no shadow redemption will redeem and certainly no catchlight?
No1 is the whole pig. No2 a conventional mug-shot falling slightly flat with no bright eye. No3, well yes its their snout that is their main finder. No 4, so is a snout shot the answer? URL as I seem to run out of attachment space. http://www.pbase.com/image/106612293

My thoughts are that #2 and #4 'work' for me, as Lincs1 says, #4 is definitely the best.
#1 (whole pig) is just a 'snap' really (like I'd take!)
#3 seems to be without any particular point of interest and, to me, feels dissatisfying because you cannot see the eyes, nor the ends of; the ears, snout or feet, i.e. there's nothing to look at!
I'm not sure if that helps, or is drivel. Rgds, Dave
