Nice picture, I like how the focus is on the cats face
This is an interesting and challenging composition. There is a lot going on, some things are working and some aren't.
1. There is a strong white vertical line in the photo. No ambiguity here, the photo should be vertical on that line.
2. Your subject is vertical and relatively narrow, this should have been shot in portrait instead of landscape.
3. The strongest part of this image visually is the very high contrast between the white line and the black glass. Your eye follows that line into the cat. The cat continues that line with the black line on its back and down into its tail. This is visually interesting.
4. The cat connects the vertical geometry of the line, and the diagonal geometry of the tiles/pavers/whatever they are. This is visually interesting.
5. The cat's face coloring is a middle brown like the opposite wall, and it is against a black field so it stands out. The way the cat fits into the scenes palette is visually interesting.
6. The way the cat also breaks the lines and "transfers" the darkness of one side into the other is visually interesting.
I have attached here a new crop which I think serves the image better. As well as an annotated image which calls out leading lines and transfers of color across the centerline. The geometry and color matching, in addition to it being a photo of a cat, makes this shot quite good in my opinion.
