Thanks for the down-payment.

No problem with the card reader slot. the multi-card reader should be able handle the PQI SD card.

Now that we are finalizing our components from our suppliers (as we are sourcing the components from different suppliers), our supplier suggested the following upgrades:

First:
Change the Asus mother board with either of the MSI boards below.
The first board is a small form-factor micro ATX board (MORTAR) designed for Extreme Gaming, while the second board is an full ATX form factor (PC MATE) built for performance and business use. Check out the photos below. You might want to consult your friends on this.

Second:
The previous HyperX Fury memories will be upgraded from 2133 MHz to the next higher speed at 2400 Mhz.

Without the spec sheets on all your options I am reluctant to comment. However I do have a personal preference for full form factor ATX boards.

The better speed memory is fine so long as the price is right.

The price is the same as what was originally going in it is simply a question of availability. Living in the Philippines can cause problems of supply.

I agree. The smaller footprint of the micro ATX board usually comes at a price in the form of less I/O connectors e.g. less USB connectors and or less SATA connectors (where your hard drives are connected). For instance, it is surprising how many USB ports you might need by the time you have added some external backup and DATA storage in addition to your keyboard, mouse, printer etc and whether it is fast USB3 or the slower USB2 might also be worth taking into account.. A USB3 card reader for instance is really worthwhile if you have a card full to upload. If you can manage it, a bit of future proofing is generally worth while

went with the full sized one. Parts are ordered and in about two weeks I could be working with the new computer.

It's here and it's humongous. I am having the usual frustrations of getting things set up but this sure is a nice machine. I will thank one and all for your help.

There's a saying that men don't read instruction manuals, I tend to find it helps if they are written very well. I used to put together bare bones kits and one thing that helps when dealing with lots of cables and connectors is to label them once you've got everything setup; if you ever have to break anything down the labels come in handy especially if you are troubleshooting some later issue. Have fun.

not just new but a quantum leap forward. No more freezing up, lots of room for expansion, and now I only work with one screen so lots more desktop
