Started out as imitation bird dropping ~ next butterfly or moth!
We have two young lemon trees in our garden/temple. These caterpillars love to eat them. They start off looking like bird droppings. Looks better in the light box

Endless summer helps but leaving in wilderness areas is a must. When we lived on Merlin Drive? (Crescent?) in Abbotsford we planted lots of trees and let the backyard grow wild. We had lots of bugs and some unhappy neighbors.

Merlin Dr is just a few minutes from where I am. I can imagine that the neighbours weren't too pleased
