Here is my entry for this month competition: The Ocean's Roar
This photo was taken on 23 October 2010. In the late afternoon, a sudden storm came to Kiama (South Coast of New South Wales, Australia). I waited there until the storm stopped, while the sky became so dramatic. In order to capture the swirling water, I had to set up my camera at the lowest position, and used live view to focus and compose. The water was running over and over that caused some difficulty to make a proper shot. Afterward, I was happy with the final result.
Shutter speed: 1.3 second

The "ghost" is my friend and coworker Jeff. After painting the mine portal with a flashlight, Jeff stepped ito place, clad in iron miner's garb, and I lit him from two directions with a handheld, gelled 550EX. A barn door was used on the Speedlite to prevent light from "spilling" onto the mine portal.
