Nice captures they give the feeling of a St. Pat's Parade. I love a parade and since I am of Irish, English, Scot, German, French, Welch and Scandinavian (all of those countries) heritage, along with a bit of Russian, Hungarian, Spanish, Italian and traces of some other nationalities, there is virtually no parade that I cannot get into the spirit of and since my people have been in this nation since before our Revolution - I can also get into the swing of our patriotic parades

Born and raised in Chicago and the suburbs - I definitely relate :-) I marched in the Chicago parade as a high schooler - longest parade ever! Very nice captures Randy. Parades aren't so easy to photograph. Well done. I especially like #7, the Chicago Police 'leprechaun'.

Richard, thanks for your kind comment. This was the first parade I've photographed.

I like parades and events, Randy -- people do not mind their photographs taken so you do not have to ask permission to take them either. And they will gladly pose for you if you ask. Anyway, I like #2 and #7. You've captured both beauty and beast there..joking... I can just feel the happy atmosphere as they were passing by you. Good series.

Thanks, Izzie, for your kind comments. My favorite photo is also #7, and my second favorite is #5 of the young girl in the dance troupe leaping. You would have had to be at the parade to witness her multiple leaps and see the pride she had in her performance.
