Florida Farming
A friend started some tomato plants from seeds about three months ago. He gave me a plant to nurture along and a few days back I noticed some blossoms had developed. Knowing that I am to leave Florida in a few weeks, I doubt I will actually see a fully mature tomato, and yet yesterday the beginning of one appeared. So of coarse I had to photograph the first tomato of the year...
100mm hand held with black hardboard in BG.

Re: Florida Farming
Thanks shadowman. Tiny pics has elongated the shot when I view it. Not sure why. If clicked on lightbox it is in proper proportion.

Re: Florida Farming
Ron...I have tomatoes every year in my garden and I never thought to do a close-up shot of any of them. That is a good idea. I kinda like your composition -- the triangles serves it well, too. It will be nice if you can remove that stray leaf at the upper right hand side as it is floating there without the connection -- just to keep your shot balanced. Just a suggestion.

Re: Florida Farming
Thanks izzie...these plants become pets after awhile. I've been known to sing to them at times. Strange but true. Because I work from my I-pad it isn't easy to 'shop' a picture very much. Your suggestion is a good one, but I may consider this picture a simple 'family portrait' and let it go as is. Happy farming!

Re: Florida Farming
Thanks Nandy, you're too kind. This was not meant to be a serious shot.
