    While TC Debbie is giving the Whitsunday Coast a shellacking we enjoy a warm autumn day for a stroll along the beach.
    #1 Bribie bridge.

    The drop of rain in the week has made everything green again.
    #3 The young giant (with the broken neck) sleeps looking out to sea.

    The following were taken in deep shade - even the 300mm F4 can't resolve too much detail.

    Nice colorful series.
    Especially Rainbow Lorikeets and # 10 to 12 are my preferred

    And I will be missing Oz this year...so I will just content myself looking at the beautiful place you have over there and also from other Aussies. These are all beautiful especially the lorikeets. The whistling kite's eyes looks sad. I like the possums too. Good job on all Richard.

    Thanks Izzie,

    The Whistling Kites (and Sea Eagles) always seem to look sad to me; even though they rarely eat anything but fish they get mobbed by other birds and must feel picked on. The nest that one came from blew out of the tree in a recent gale, unusual for those birds - they normally build very robust nests.
