Succulent Abstract
I don't do much in the way of abstract photography but, I saw the original of this image that I had shot a long time ago and never did anything with. I thought that it might lend itself, with a bit of Photoshop CC help, into becoming an abstract. Since I don't do abstracts, I cannot really judge if this is a decent shot or just junk

Re: Succulent Abstract
This is still very recognizable so I would not call it an abstract. but it is a nice shot--would like to see it in color--or colors!. I think it would also make a nice abstract with some judicious cropping. Fun to see you playing!

Re: Succulent Abstract
Agree with Judith - I like it as a B&W conversion, but wouldn't call it an abstract

Re: Succulent Abstract
I also agree with Judith. It is a really nice image but I wouldn't consider it an abstract. It would need to be less recognizable to be considered an abstract.

Re: Succulent Abstract
This is really beautiful, even though it is not abstract; well i guess its color was deep violet on colored parts; am i right?

Re: Succulent Abstract
This very nice image has some abstract characteristics that might or might not be emphasized using a different crop and/or post processing. If this is how you want it to look, don't be concerned about whether or not it is an abstract.

Re: Succulent Abstract
I like it Richard IMO the black frame makes the image look darker , so may be a white frame ?
