    How To Colorization Tutorial Video

    Hi Everybody,

So I've been asked a few times over that last 2 years about posting a tutorial on how to colorize photographs. The guy that taught me goes by the name Mads Madsen. He is a Danish coloring artist and he's kind of the pioneer to this process. I tried to make a video but I just don't have the video editing skills and the guy who taught me already made a very good video. The video Mads made is about 80% the way that I colorize currently. He mentions that he uses the coloring mode "soft light" on his layers and I mostly use the coloring mode "color." The only time I use soft light is if the color isn't dark enough or changes when I change the opacity. I hope you guys enjoy this and feel free to ask me any questions.

Thanks, Zak, for the link. I hope to try colorizing in the future, but I have to get much more proficient using PS before undertaking such a project.

Yeah, once your comfortable with layers and using masks you'll need to focus on coloring modes and how they work and you should be golden for trying to colorize.
