These comps are now turning around at a rate that's far too fast for an old man like me. Barely has one been started than we've got 10 and a poll is underway.

Speaks volumes for the increase and interest, as well as the growth and development of the people on this site that so many more now seem willing (and more than able in terms of quality) to post images into threads, especially competition threads..

I'll tell you what's really surprising is that comp #49 has 27 votes amd the poll has another day to go! So thanks everyone for the extra voting. It's much better when more people vote as it gives a more rounded result. It also is good practice as a voter making a decision about what you think is good, and why.

It is! I live near also. It is one of my favorite architectural structures in a city of very few! If you are familiar with the area you may appreciate what it took to get this shot....wandering around down in the arroyos for the right angle! I had to re-shoot it to get it right and couldn't find my way back to the spot a second time. It is shot from the corner of Arroyo Blvd. and Arroyo Dr.! You may know that under this bridge is one of the most beautiful residential areas in SoCal.

What happened to Wendy's Autumn Path? OR...perhaps we can visualize based upon her past posts.....let's see...misty, fog, perhaps a cow or two beside a path, mist, fog, fog.....yep, she's got my vote again!

I know it all VERY well! And, yes, it is beautiful down below and, yes, I can't imagine how you got this shot.

    Re: Autumn Path

Top shot s**t again, I would concentrate on a real camera. You seem to have noticed wot is right, I like it, who needs definition anyway. Cor.

I think do the same as this and have slight colour in the forground, higher definition in shadows but not much, then I suppose the definition challenged bits aint really a bother.
