Hi Les,
While the second has good focus, the first I find very soft (focus miss or camera shake perhaps).
The minor issue with the second is that being that orientation, it is not well lit - I don't know if you can recover some detail in PP.
Some (myself included) might suggest rotating the second by 90 degrees clockwise, but not everyone would want to do that since it destroys the documentary context of how that creature (presumably) prefers to 'hang out' (sorry, I couldn't resist).

I'd more or less agree with Dave - the "less" is that I would be in the capture it as found group (i.e. 'hanging out'), but that would be more personal preference than anything.

Lets have both Dave , i made a silly error with these i put the dial to manual but in fact was shooting in AV
