Their condition is less visible and works better for me, you can re frame just on them, IMO, blurred part is not useful to your picture .
Quite a bit of the delicacy of the petals is lost for me in the monochrome version. Using less contrast would help with that.
Thanks Jean. I prefer it the way it is, with the white flowers in be background leading the eye along a curve into the front and centre with the sharpness and size of the blooms increasing along the way.
Indeed it is Mike, I was concentrating on the floral trumpets and also trying something more low-key than my usual personal preference in a B&W.

Bill -- I like the original one, tattered or not. I can see what you were trying to convey in shooting them. I couldn't have done it better that illustrating the circle of life. It still shows Spring at its best.
