Nice captures Barbara. I love the expression on the roadrunners face.

Thanks Rita! Yes that Roadrunner was very entertaining, he let me photograph him for almost an hour.

Re: Birdies for Izzie
OK...second time I lost my response. It must be my smelly dog's fault lying down beside my chair. Anbyway, thank you for this series. I love them all.
#1 I think this is called the Heron's mating dance.
#2 You should/must submit this one to the Wildlife Comedy Competition. It is close now but it is one thing to take note of. I think Brian will be participating next year.
#3 The owl is a good one too
and so are the rest of the eagles, especially the mother one. She certainly gave you that protective look. The most beautiful bird.
Thank you for sharing.

Re: Birdies for Izzie
Thank you Izzie! I have not taken many birds as of late but will probably try and catch the eaglets from that nest as they take their first flights. I was lucky enough to have found the nest and followed it 2 years in a row. I will have to look up that competition, sounds interesting.

Re: Birdies for Izzie
What a treat Barbara. These are all so wonderful. You captured so many interesting attitudes. Love #1, the owl and the last two eagles especially.. How great you have an eagle nest to return to, to watch them on their first flight would be so wonderful.

I really enjoy looking at your work! So beautiful. And I had to laugh at the roadrunner. I can see him saying, "AARRKK, you want some too?"
All so well done! Thank you for sharing!

Re: Birdies for Izzie
Thank you Dave! Nesting birds are great fun to capture! You never know what you might see. These were taken from a boat, the island was full of egrets, great blue heron and reddish egrets on their nests as far as the eye could see.
