A lovely composition, but I think you are sneaking back onto the dark side! The histogram is consistent with the visual appearance. To illustrate (I hope you don't mind), I did a very quick edit. First, I did a rough selection of the plant, to separate from the background. Not necessarily easy, given the complexity of the edges and the similarities of colors, but oddly, the magic wand too in photoshop did a pretty good job. Then I applied a fairly extreme curves adjustment to brighten the plant and add a little contrast. I got what I will post below. You can see that some of the edges of the selection were wrong--I didn't spend enough time cleaning it up. I also tried making the adjustment without a selection, and while that wasn't as good, I think it was still better than the original.

Don't mind at all. I did take it more in your direction but I found it too harsh(?). I am curious what the others will think. Capture One has trouble separating fore and back ground when the colors are this similar but there may be a way I'm not aware of.

and the law we live with is not to enhance the blues too much. But aside from that misdemeanor it's not too bad.
