Nice light catching the mount and buildings. I would be inclined to crop a bit from the right, just leaving a small amount of water to the right of the harbour wall. I did wonder about cropping more, but it would be a shame to lose the harbour wall with that sunlight on it

Re: St Michael's Mount in Calm Waters
This is the first image of Mt. St. Michael shot from a higher altitude. Most images I have seen are shot from sea level...

Christopher, very nice capture! I would agree with Dave that a slight crop from the right might improve an already nice image, also the round dots (assume they are buoys are a little distracting for me.

Re: St Michael's Mount in Calm Waters
There appears to be something strange happening with this scene. The point on the left side of the island is blurred, as is the distant headland, but the distant land to the right of the island is quite sharp?

Re: St Michael's Mount in Calm Waters
Chris, this is an attractive image. But I have one comment. I have the sense that the castle is leaning to the left. Does the image need levelling? On the other hand, I'm looking at the photo via an iPad......

Richard - You are quite right, the majority of images seem to be taken from Marazion Beach. There are higher shooting opportunities and I have posted taken from the A30 above Marazion.
