    Soap film no.2

Taken about 14 years ago with a buddy who put together a whole rig to shoot thin soap films.
The results are strangely beautiful abstract creations that in many ways mimic the clouds of Jupiter
    motorized Nikon F2AS
    micro-Nikkor 200 f4 AIS manual focus
    Ektachrome 100 ISO colour slide
    exposure information long forgotten

Definitely strangely beautiful and abstract, but nothing like the clouds of Jupiter! I like it a lot.

You wouldn't say that if you saw some of the others. There are swirls that look vary much like the areas around the Giant Red Spot. Anyway, thanks for commenting.

I like it a lot. Were the patterns manipulated?

    John / Mike / Ole,
    Thanks for commenting.
    Ole,
There were no manipulations done to the shot.
After scanning my Photoshop workflow consisted of: Smart sharpen/Levels/Contrast/Crop/Image size /Save as.
The "composition" seen here is what the film captured.

Nice Robert, I had a go at one a little while agoi - doing the washing up - I am the dishwasher! and a glass developed a bubble skin in it that slowly rose to the top - quickly dry hands and get camera, who needs a fancy studio when you have sunlight through a window. They are fun to do, mine ended up looking a bit like the surface of a star with explosions off into space. As you say no manipulation is needed on the patterns
