    When this was accidental this wasn't a second curtain flash. Looks great and a nice idea to play with.

    I don't even know what a second curtain flash is or if I even have a first curtain. I was clicking away and the fly was popping on and off the twig. When I clicked with my 2 second delay he was on when the shutter went click he was just returning. It was serendipitous.

    When you use the flash, you make 1 picture with 2 exposures: 1 with ambient light and 1 with flash light. Using the first curtain the flash exposure is in the beginning of the ambient exposure. Using the second curtain the flash exposure is at the end of the ambient exposure.
