BTW: These are beautiful animals! I love heavy-weight work horses... I wonder what their original breeds were?
We have an area along the Colorado River, between the states of Arizona and Colorado hat has numerous wild burros. The burros were used by miners in the 1800's and early 1900's and then released into the wild after small scale mining no longer was profitable. This area is topographically very similar to where burros originated in North Africa and these animals have prospered and multiplied. These burros come into the town of Oatman to get handouts from the tourists...

That was the first thing I thought too -- working horses. They have the same look as the Budweiser horses at the bottom hence the thought of working horses. Very nice shot.
