Nugget Point

Another New Zealand image, this time Nugget Point Lighthouse on the South Island. The lighthouse was a bit of a shock to me I expected to see a taller structure. But it does sit on a high point. There's a viewing platform (part visible to the right of the structure) beyond the lighthouse which is probably what people visit for.

The color and depth of field are great and the perspective is imaginative, but the foreground material isn't interesting enough to me to warrant filling so much of the frame with it.

I would agree with the first statement, but not the second. I find the foreground contributes positively to the perspective..

I agree with Mike about the foreground. Love the colors and the water with the rocks. The path and the lighthouse to me are calling out, asking for more attention

The FG could be acceptable if the lighthouse is not sticked to the top of the image; If you have more sky above, it'd be better.
