If you'd like feedback Arnold, people will be more inclined to help if you unambiguously number the images.

Beautiful series Arnold. My favorite is #3. Those pictures bring back nice memories of the three years that I lived in your country. I had almost forgotten the weird looking trees. Thanks for sharing.

The images are unambiguously numbered. The numbers are at the bottom of the picture which may be unusual for this forum but is the standard way of doing it in most publications.

Thanks for your comment, the names of the trees are willow nods.

    Hi Arnold,

Firstly let me say that I like the compositions in all 7 shots.

You seem to like to make the clouds quite contrasty, although personally I don't think I'd have gone so far in that direction with the sunny shots. I find the top of frame just a little too 'heavy' in 2, 3 and 5.

Again, my personal preference would be for sightly lighter shadows in 3 and 5. Although I acknowledge that when the sun shines, and particularly if we're looking somewhat towards it, higher contrast is inevitable and closer analysis seems to confirm this was the case in those two, so it is just personal preference.

In #6, I wondered if the lens profile corrections had been applied during PP (not sure what you use), because in that shot especially, I think I detect some pincushion distortion that might be correctable. It is difficult to judge though, given the scene containing many trees that have grown on a lean, but even looking at the building (which also may not be straight after all these years), I think I see a trend. It could just be straightforward perspective correction that's required, due to camera being aimed up a bit to get the top of the spire in frame. Unfortunately, I also note there's probably insufficient space above it to fully correct, even if you wanted to. As a final observation, I see you were as wide as you could have shot with the 24 -70mm lens, so it's just one of those things. I'm rambling, sorry.

    Cheers, Dave

    PS
Many thanks for numbering (and apparently renumbering) the pictures since I first looked.

Hi Arnold -- my favourite is #4 and #7. #4 because I like the framing you did with the building there, house or whatever that structure is used for. I just wished that you had taken a bit more of the trunk on the left hand side... And #7 because of the windmill closer than life. Is it possible to go up there and take a look around?
