Looks like a Vine Weevil to me. The grubs of which eat plant roots. The adult makes castellated notches in plant leaves

I was thinking more along the lines of a Pea/Bean Weevil (short nose) which cuts those semicircular chunks out of the edges of pea and bean leaves. They seem to particularly like Broad Bean leaves. Are there any 'good weevils'?
Plenty of fine detail and tricky lighting has worked out well.

Although I wonder if they could be processed with a little less noise?
For me #3 is my favourite, but in recovering shadow detail, I think the black point may be a tad off, it seems to lack the overall contrast range of the first two.
However, these are minor things.
So, are you saying that all weevils are evil?
I like your background too. I like that 3rd shot the best and agree with Dave's comments.
