Change Date Taken for scanned images on a Mac

I need to change the "Date Taken" on scanned images on a Mac.
Does anyone know how to do this on a Mac
In Windows this task is as simple as selecting the files in explorer, right click, choose properties, then select the details tab and change the "Date Taken".
I cannot find this Date Taken anywhere on my iMac. The only place I can see it is if I look at the image in Preview and show inspector where I can see the Date Time Digitized or the Date Time Original. I think one of these might be the attribute that I need to change.
I could copy all of the files to a PC change the Date Taken and copy them back to my iMac, however, I would really like to Know how to do this on my iMac.
    Thanks
    Bill

Load them into Photos and then from the menus at the top of your screen, choose Photos> Adjust Date and Time. When you do, you'll see a new dialog box into which you can put the correct info.

You can also do it with Terminal commands but its a bit of a faff.

Ps. Lightroom can do it to if you have that installed.

    Thanks Robin,
I understand that I can make these changes in the Photos app, however, this does not change the date taken for the original file nor does it change the date taken if I then export the file from Photos.
I don't have Lightroom, I use Capture One.
