    Ferries and Fog

Looking out of our home, we see the ferry terminal/ferries going into Canada and the San Juan's.

Not sure about this one. Colors seem off (yet it's what they were), and maybe too cropped

I love visiting and photographing that part of the world. I've been lucky enough to spend a few months on Vancouver Island in the past, but not quite to where you live. A wonderful mix of sea, mountains and magnificent forests.

Quite frankly, I don't quite remember the colours looking quite like what you have in this shot though; I suspect things might have looked a bit more like this:

Yes, I do believe we live in one of the most beautiful places in the country. Love going over to Vancouver as well. We have everything here, so lucky!
Thanks for the edits. Honestly, the colors are often much more blue when the sun it out....but somehow I got it captured one the cold side. Yours looks a little more "real", but it's quite impressive the colors with the sun shining on the blue waters. Next time, I'll take a better look to see if what the camera captures is what I see.

The ship's superstructure is white. If it looks blue in your image, that suggests there is a white balance issue with your shot.

Very good point. I need to double check the white balance setting... thanks for your suggestions and guidance

    Sharon,

I like the passing ships, one seems lost in the fog while at the same time giving the foreground ship a sense of motion.
