    Labour day in Tourcoing, France

Last weekend I was in Tourcoing. We expanded our stay for 1 day to see the 1st of may manifestations in Lille, a 20m journey by metro. In that morning at 8:30 we where at the gate. Closed. No metro, no tram and no bus on laborday. Train was no option. So we went to see the local manifestation.
Tourcoing is an old Flamish city close to the Belgian boarder. But small. With narrow streets.

    The start.

Walking through a narrow street, low buildings.

It gave some funny situations. People living there standing there in the doorpost watching the group passing by.

And of course at the end some food. Poor lamb.

Exciting series... I especially like the shot head on in the narrow street but, would have cropped out the window, image left....

I'm not such an editor. Maybe you're right but I'm afraid all the photo's will get a similar look.

I want to add 1 photo more, for the beer lovers. What I found out a 19th century beer from Marseille. Not from Karl.

All nice and colourful shots, George...Festivals are events I like going. People do not mind you photographing them and their causes.
