Absolutely delicate and lovely. Good for a greeting card or an album cover.

Nice lighting, Andre. What kind of flower is that?

    Thank you Nandakumar.

Thank you Richard. I hadn't thought of that but yes it would be.

I hope one day to have the skills needed for a shot like this.
Brian, I have seen your work and you definitely have the skills and tools to match this image in spade.

Nice lighting, Andre. What kind of flower is that?
Thank you Greg. The image is a rather extreme crop of a backlit begonia.

Very nice indeed Andre. Lovely delicate light and touch. Perhaps consider some (more) noise reduction..don't know if that works here..?

Very nice indeed, Andre. Am hesitant to comment, but if it was me I would crop a little bit closer, but most definitely I would not touch the right !!

Thank you Susan. The noise is a result of pushing the local contrast enhancement much further than I usually would. I felt that it was needed to bring out the tonality of the petals.

Thank you Jim. Please don't hesitate, comments are always welcomed. This is how we learn.

I don't quite see the crop that you are suggesting. Would you mind demonstrating it?

Wonderful image. The soft whites, shadows, and splash of color are very nice.

Gee, that look a lot different to the miserable specimens that pop up in my backyard.

Thank you Izzie. I don't see this forum as a competition but as a great place to learn and share.

My specimen came from the store in a pot. We currently have a frost warning in effect for our area.

Absolutely terrific in all aspects of capturing a piece of art. For me it is the softness that is on target .

Thank you Raymond. I think this is the first time that one of my photos has been described as artistic. I'll take that as a compliment.
