Green
Took this at the weekend at a local park, it was a nice day and the insect world was 'buzzing', a robber fly cleaning itself on a Meadow Buttercup, all shades of green.

Re: Green
Nice, sharp hairs on the fly with the hairs on the buttercup nicely soft.

Re: Green
Thanks John, its fun with a 150mm macro on a crop sensor -the DoF is so skinny - getting it in the righ place is always a challenge

Re: Green
All that work to get to the centre of interest, Mark. I would crop off a lot on the bottom and some off the top, for a really nice image. JMTCW.

Re: Green
Thanks John, appreciated
Cheers Jim, I can see what you say but the image for me is to have the scale and environment aspect, cropping it close makes it a portrait of the insect rather than a study of the insect in its environment - however as a portrait it works as well

Re: Green
So glad you included the shooting info Mark, I was wondering. It looks great. I like to include the environment too however I am not nearly as successful overall. Very nice image.

Re: Green
A symphony in green! I prefer the original composition, too Mark. I like the way the stalk leads up to the subject.
