beautiful capture, but I find the top half distracting. I'd crop it.
The top half is the story...look closely.
It's a reflection...it is one of those natural circumstance images that's there, un-contrived but seen and appreciated for the wonderfully natural juxtapostion.
Hi Chris,
I think an alternate thread title that gets the viewer thinking 'reflection' when they open the image would be a good idea, otherwise it is easily missed upon initial viewing - as I did because I was concentrating on the lower subject and wondering what visible features made that a juvenile - a thought process I wouldn't have had, but for it being 'seeded' by the title.

Great shot though.
Viewing this on my tablet, I have to almost stand on my head to see the reflection properly. Once I dId it was (fairly) instantly recognizable as a Snakebird.
But I do agree that the title is misleading.

I guess subtlety sometimes gets lost in the mind of the presenter :-) Changed the title to "A Reflective Moment"
Yes, the caption needs the reflection in the image; but if such a suggestive caption was not there, it would definitely be a distraction !!!
