As someone said somewhere else in the last day or so, the overall quality of images just keeps going up. And that reflects the learning and development of people. This is a real attention-grabber. It's always a personal opinion, isn't it, but, for me, this is a masterful control of light.

It is a bit blue; shadows a bit dark, but overall it is a pleasing image, It is the sort of thing I would stick on my wall, but strangely have no interest in doing for myself.

Wonderful shot, Kay. Aside from the lighting, which is excellent, I like the geometry. The tilt of the background matches up with Josh's head, and then the angle of the chainsaw blade parallels his shoulders. It makes the whole thing flow.

Beautiful, Rob. The balance of buds (I assume) at the top and leaves and small flowers in the lower half is wonderful.

I assume you left the long green leaf in the lower left intentionally? Having once suggested that you remove a bush, I won't make that mistake again. It does seem to close the space.

    Cheers,

Thanks Donald! I very much appreciate the compliment. It is a bit blue, but this is not a color cast or white balance being off. I'd be hard pressed to prove that without the white reflections in the water. I shoot RAW + FINE, so I will be returning to the raw image to tweak it a bit. This was the JPEG with some minor adjustments.

The bar has been set pretty high around here - just happy to get close now and then.

    Thanks again!
