Excellent control of DoF there Brian.
One of your lovely dark images
Yes, a good composition and there is sufficient focus depth for the scene.
Very lovely
One reason I do not comment very much on all your post is that you have become an expert in your field that it put me to shame to just say anything. Anyway that taken cared of, I like this one very much, hence I commented. And also to ask what the ID of this flower is...???
John and Izzie, thanks for the kind words. I took a look and I don't believe it is a clematis. At least I can't find a clematis on the web that looks like what I have in the garden. Where I am people just call it a weed. It's more of a mat than a vine.

Agreed with all of the above. Consider darkening the leaf in the top right corner, as its current brightness pulls my eye just a little outside the frame.
Did you add the water droplets or were they natural? The reason I ask is that I wonder if it's natural that they are only on the petals of the flower and only on some of the leaves. Would that occur in nature?
I think darkening that leaf would enhance the reaching effect. That's because the image doesn't appear to me as if the flower is reaching to the leaf and is instead reaching elsewhere.
