Donald, this looks like the inhabitants have just left the room, leaving their personalities behind to contribute to the image. It would be nice if this image could find its way into some historical documentation of the area and its people. Well done Donald!

The first time that I saw your photo the day that you posted it, something highly unusual, for me, happened. It told a story! I don't normally "get" artistic photos but this one spoke volume. Sharon has expressed much more eloquently than I could ever do how the picture is much larger than the sum of its parts. I think that you might have intended this photo to be a picture of the personality of your aunt and wondered if that was the reason that you put it in the "People and Pet" forum rather than the "Nature and Architecture" one.

One thing puzzle me though. Where Sharon, and apparently all the other members who commented, saw a warm and welcoming room, I see a dark and somewhat depressing room which is very much at odds with the way you described your aunt in a previous post. I realize that the room, with its wooden walls and small window, is naturally dark but wonder if it would have looked more "lively" had you opted to significantly open up the shadows to brighten it.
