Thanks Nandakumar and Jean - Jean, it was backlit (with black card positioned behind the bloom) with available light from a window; I wondered about adding some frontal light with a reflector or small light to bring out the centre details but left it as posted here.

I like it. I can stare at this and think of the many ways decay petals fall off in a matter of minutes outside with the wind blowing right now here or it can stay inside and stay like this for another day or two before the shedding starts.

Izzie, these had been about to go into the recycling bin, and looking at them it struck me that as the dying petals fell back, they revealed the elements required for new life. I had thought of calling it "Death and Life" or something like that ...
