How fun! I'm an outsider here for sure on this one. While I like #2 your first shot gives me everything I want. It is really well balanced colored windows to black and white windows. They dance well together. The shadows really make a difference for me in this shot too. I like #6 very much too for the composition and the reflected greens. You are so lucky to have such an interesting variety of buildings to shoot.
Hi Donald,
Thank you for your comment.
You have right to be different, # 5 is a good image too, I like it too (that's why I took it and processed it )
I had seen the facade on the street for a long time, I had not taken the time to photograph it, but by chance they demolished the building next door and I could see and photograph the two buildings.
I made two sessions with different lights.
I should go earlier when the sun is in front of the building (or ar 45°) as I had to cheat with the light hence differences in the rendering of the lights (mainly the white)
I was attracted by these reappearance of colored and different windows to the point of not knowing which ones to choose.
Thank you everybody for your suggestions.
I also propose my photos on the site 500 px which is a good source of "notation" (to confirm me in my choices) even though we do not find there the quality of exchange there is here on this forum.
Thank you Roy and JohnR.
Thanks Dan,
there is a large majority for the # 2, with some outsiders
Thank you Susan for your comment.
Sure In Paris like in every big city we are lucky to find a great variety of buildings, but you have to look at it everywhere.
As I am more and more interested in the game of reflections on buildings, I look more precisely when I am walking in the city and if I do not have my gear with me, I say to myself, I will return if possible by choosing a beautiful light.
#2 for me too Jean, but I also like the others. Very interesting building and it is possible to create many compositions , a good subject
Thank you Binnur.
