In the best CiC manner.
Well thought out and executed Kay. You have managed to get both foreground and background interest and the extremely shallow DOF works a treat. The positioning of the bottle and hands in the frame is extremely well composed. The red colour is very alluring.
Have I managed to politely critique this image?
kinda freaky all 4 posters have colour repetitions - Peter's colour chart is reflected in Raylee's female bird's feathers, both in form & colour, then my red poison apple is reflected in the male bird's face and now in Grant's Heliconium.....

Another quick snap of one of the Fish Quay Characters in action.
Marine engineering is never easy and usually involves wrestling with rusty equipment while lying in dirty bilge water. But there is always a degree of satisfaction when a job has been successfully completed.
Before going fishing, Fred trained as a Garage Mechanic. Nowadays, he is partially retired and mostly does the maintenance work while his sons run the boat.
I'm not totally happy with this photo but it was just a very quick snap with harsh low angle light and deep shadows; and I didn't get any 'thinking time'. So I've done what I could to recover some details from the shadows without losing too much highlight detail.

This steep residential street in San Marcos, California was plagued with speeders. It was particularly dangerous since there is a school and a children's playground at the base of the hill. The speeding problem was solved quite effectively by transforming the previously straight street into a wiggly maze which forces drivers to slow down...
300mm f/4L IS on a 40D to compress distance. This provides an equivalent 480mm.

I like it. I see a gentle man who has worked hard all his life, takes little credit for his skills or intellect and is quite shy. Not bad for a "quick snap"....got any more?

Nice one Pat. I like the almost monochrome look with the colour at the bottom.
