Well the other week I spent the morning walking around Katoomba NSW Australia while my sister and I waited on tires for her car. And I am trying to get in the habit to bring my camera with me where ever i may go. At the time i only had my 14mm lens on my camera and when i noticed this fellow i just guessed the exposure at F.8, threw the lens focus to infinite and fired the camera as it was hanging round my neck.
Just missed the focus but came to like this edit, even though i wished I had my mid zoom on my camera at that point.

Thank you, if I had another lens I would of loved a closer shot of him. And yeah I see it's a bit dark in places, something to keep working on cheers 😊

Allen, I like it. The dark areas don't bother me since the smoker's head and face are bright and stand out. Although the sidewalk is also light colored and leads the eye in that direction, this--at least for me--adds context and a sense of place and environment. Well done from the hip.

The wide angle tells a story but I also think the image is bit too dark. The rear side of the subject needs to be separated from the background.
