Festival of Buddha's Birthday
I took this picture just recently. We were standing to receive The Blessing like curious onlookers would. For some reason I became quite emotional and went without my wife to receive The Blessing. My wife gave me a big smile afterwards and we left it at that. I am not a religious person?? C&C most welcome to this, most perplexing moment in my life.

I can't say it better than John said it, so I won't try.

Re: Festival of Buddha's Birthday
Your framing of all those colorful elements is very wonderful in this shot Ole. It orders the 'chaos' and supports the Priest front and center so well. With all that going on it still manages a stillness - the spiritual. I like it a lot. I guess the spirit moves when the spirit moves.
I agree with Jean that it may be a bit too white...maybe or not!?

Re: Festival of Buddha's Birthday
I tried this image cropped a little closer with the bright whites reduced in brightness...
This may or may not work for you...
Cropping is a very personal thing and often there is no right or wrong, simply choices...

Re: Festival of Buddha's Birthday
Richard, I wanted to show Buddha's hands. The statue was very white. I do like your crop but it is now a very intimate image of a priest, nothing else matters. Thank you for your response it is most appreciated, as always.
Cheers Ole
