This is one of your very best. Magnificent image and the colour in that eye!
I have no wish to sound conceited but I agree it is one of my best. I am even pleased that there is hidden beauty in the eye that can only be seen at full size.

Give credit where credit is due. The Tamron 90 272E is a superb match to my Sony Alpha a58.

    Nice work Brian.
I am amazed at how well it worked. It certainly proves the value of CiC. Pretty much ever since I got my Fujifilm I have been getting advice on technique and what gear to buy. So let me now thank all of those who guided me to the point where I could put together a shot of this quality.

Brian, you are absolutely correct that to an extent with this genre in particular, the 'kit' is a critical part of the mix. But.... it always comes back to the competence of the mind behind the lens.

Remember when you first started out with the Tamron?

The point here is that you are pushing the kit to it's limits and understanding just how much you are pushing the technology. When it's this good, and I know how often it is 'not quite there'....

I just love seeing shots of this quality 'cos I know just how much effort, combined with that bit of luck they require.

ps I'm 'old fashioned' and print the images I think rate it, so I always look at them at 100% if possible. That eye detail would print beautifully at A3+
