Re: Moody Monday
Nice job, Brian; thanks for sharing your vision. This has been fun, and very instructive. Richard, I think yours is my favorite of the bunch. You have done a beautiful job of rendering those spring greens that were so much in evidence, without losing the mixed mood of the day. If you have time, please do let me know all that you did and with what tools.

Re: Moody Monday
Janis...
Aside from the initial crop, I used NIK Viveza and basically increased the structure with little if anything else. Often increasing the structure will open up the shadows a bit which is why the greens along the land were retained. The structure increased the clouds.
The structure slider in NIK Viveza is one of my favorite editing tools.

Re: Moody Monday
Thanks, Binnur; I like Richard's crop, too. Thanks for the info, Richard. Viveza is a big go-to for me, but unfortunately, it has gotten temperamental on me just in the last week. The other Nik plug-ins are working fine from Capture One, but Viveza is more often than not refusing to display the image and just giving me a black screen. I tried using it from Aperture and had the same problem. I am going to try reinstalling it.
Manfred, thanks for the tip about removing dust spots. I tried it and the frames I shot last night appear to be clean! I have a rocket blower, but it doesn't seem to be all that effective for me. I'm very grateful to you for saving me a trip to the shop!
