We took a drive from our part time home in Sheridan, Wyoming to our daughter's place in Bozeman, Montana. It is a four hour drive with views of multiple mountain ranges along the way. We live in the Bighorns. On the wat we see the Beartooth, Crazy, Bridger, Gallatin and Tobacco Root ranges. Pretty drive.
Yesterday we took a trip to Yellowstone National Park. I didn't expect it to be so busy as the tourist season starts after Memorial Day. It was pretty busy.
We were met by a herd of bison walking down the road on our way to Old Faithful. This is a common occurrence in the park. You just have to wait it out. What we were not expecting was an impatient driver who pulled around us and forced the bison almost into our car. They're big animals. We escaped unharmed.
Here is a shot of a bison grazing along the Madison River. This is a very popular destination for fly fishing. One can also see the effects of the 1988 fire.

We came across a herd that drew quite a crowd.

I'd hate co come face to face with a big animal in this.
Some thermal pools.
Old Faithful does not disappoint.
