    Tractors and barns

Shot this in pouring rain. I think I have a thing for barns and tractors because when I'm out in the country I'm always looking for both. The crop was a tough decision for me because although the tractor is the main point of interest but the barn wall with hay bails falling out is also interesting to me.

Dave, I share your like for old tractors. We have a guy in our area who has dozens of old Allis Chalmers tractors on his property. It looks like a graveyard. I have taken some pictures of them from the road and would like to get on the property but he is never around so I can ask permission. I doubt that any are functional.

Paul this is the largest hoard of tractors I've come across so far. Like you I had to photograph from the road.

In looking closer at your second picture the tractor on the far right bears the name of Case. Coincidentally Bradford Brinton one of the executives of that company in the early 1900's had his summer home here in Sheridan. He had a large collection of western and Native American art. It was turned into a museum by his heirs. Sadly, there are no tractors on display.

Very nice! You and I have something in common. I'm always wanting to photograph barns out here in Skagit Valley. SO many beautiful ones. I love your image! Motivational ;-)

I love the first shot, Dave...There is drama unfolding in the immediate future there just by looking at the scene there...
