PS CC Canvas Colour Prolem - solved.

Just solved a problem that suddenly appeared as a result of an Adobe upgrade/Windows 10 upgrade/Downloading Topaz studio (VGood BTW) - not sure which - and thought it worth passing on the solution.

I have always set the colour of the PS canvas layer by selecting an appropriate background colour. This W/E, I suddenly found that the canvas colour had permanently defaulted to cream. Couldn't find any discussion on the net and so went on a search for possible reasons. There is a drop down menu labelled "Canvas Extension Color" in the Canvas Size dialogue box (Image/Canvas Size) that allows you to select the source of the canvas color. The default must be "Background " but mine had reset to "Other" presumably as a result of the various downloads described above. I reset it to "Background and it was problem solved. These options must always have been there but I had never used or even noticed them before. Thought it worth posting in case it helps anyone else.

I regularly use that option to change the canvas extension colour depending on the image I'm working on.

Yup Robin, I suspect my inability to detect what needed doing immediately is down to my limited knowledge of PS but others might be in the same boat.
