Come on in, the nectar's lovely

    For James!

This is a single shot taken with the Tamron 90mm Macro at f14 and 1/320th sec. It was a windy day and multi-shots to focus stack were not on. I took a few but this one was set up to concentrate on the stamens.

How beautiful is that?!!! Very nice exposure and sharp too. On a windy day how did you manage to take this! I love it!

Thanks Izzie. Three things - I was able to position myself between the wind and the flower (which is a rhododendron), waited until a calm(er) moment, and shot at 1/320s.

Thanks for the tip. I will remember that with the kind of weather we are having here at central that every two or three days of sunshine we have rain and the before that condition is good for photographing even in the backyard while waiting for my weekend photo trips to happen (or not...) and so the wind can be terrible. I thought of bringing down my 5-in-one reflector downstairs but laziness sets in at times... it will also be a good one to shield what I am photographing...thanks again.
