    Cherry Tree (HOYA R72)

I received a HOYA IR72 as a Christmas gift. Until this weekend I had not tried any serious attempts to figure out how to use it. I read a lot on line about color swapping but I do not have the software that enables that. So the below is what I could achieve using LR. I noticed that all my shots had a horizontal "flare". Even with mirror up and various with apertures. I was able to adjust that problem via local edits with LR. My guess is that the flare is not due to the lens. Anyway, the filter gave me several hours of entertainment in post processing. I can see where in the proper hands IR filters could enhance one's monochrome images. I added a touch of sepia to the first which I like best.

Very well done,Sam... just a thought: if you remove the trees at the two ends it might isolate and strengthen your hero tree

    That's a good suggestion Nandakumar.
