For me, the first one is not such a good composition. I don't think there's a sense of balance or harmony in it.
On the other hand, I love the second one. Beautifully simple. Good colour and tone. And imaginative. That would make an excellent large print in the right setting.

To add to Donald's comments, the shadow tones in the second one display the shape of the bananas so nicely!
