Vanguard Abeo Pro tripod head. I enjoy close up shots with tight crops.

Your image very nicely displays the texture and most of the shape. The lack of detail in the really dark areas in the right side make me wonder if I'm supposed to be distinguishing between the background and subject (but can't) or if there is a change in the shape of the subject in those areas that I can't detect.

I enjoy any style of photo with a tight crop, perhaps to a fault.

Thank you for your comment Mike. The fade to dark of the far side of the image was intentional as I never wanted to show the full shape. I'm with you on tight crops.

Brian, I thought it was dust free until I downloaded the image for processing. I had to clone out about 100 particles of dust

Nice and clean shot, I like the grain of the surface. As Mike mentioned I'd like to see the shape after the yellow level, even if it is not your intention

With regard to the shape behind the yellow Level on the right side I'm confused. I clearly see it on my monitor from the edge of the orange band up to the top of the image.

Dave, love the texture on your Vanguard. Mine has a bit of dust on it - no texture to show.

My vanguard is a beast of a thing to carry so I thought I will searched for the name of yours from BnH and it looks more like a monster to me than what I have. Mine is smooth too. I like the texture of yours.
