    LightRoom with two monitors

I think I know the answer to this, but I am hoping someone will tell me I am wrong.

I have two monitors on the computer I use for Lightroom. My computer will accept calibration of one. I have the larger monitor calibrated directly in front of me and a smaller, older, and not calibrated monitor to one side.

In dual-screen mode, by default, the primary monitor gets the regular display, which looks like this:

    LightRoom with two monitors

while the secondary monitor gets a simplified display with an enlarged image, which looks like this:

    LightRoom with two monitors

By default, LR will put the main window on the primary monitor, which in my case is the larger calibrated one. However, it is easy to switch their locations so that the larger image is on the primary monitor and the main window is on the secondary monitor to the side. I have done that.

However, I would then like to move the develop panel, but nothing else, from the main window that is now off to the side onto the secondary window that is now in front of me.

As far as I have been able to tell, this is impossible. Am I wrong?

I don't think you're wrong, in fact I believe that you're 100% correct Dan. But I'll watch this with interest just in case we're both wrong LightRoom with two monitors
