    Dinner for the Heron

    Along Guemes Channel Trail.
Mid Day, yep. It's what I got right now

Beautiful bird, he just didn't want me to take his photo, so was a bit elusive. I think the details, color etc. could be better.

If you were in Michigan, I might suggest your colors are a little off.

Sharon, this is an attractive photo. I'm looking at it on an iPad, not on my profiled monitor, so am hesitant to comment on the colour. But I will anyway: does it have a bit much blue? perhaps an adjustment to the white balance?

Hello Sharon: This is a lovely shot of a beautiful bird. Getting a good shot of a heron is on my bucket list. To date, no such luck. I agree that the colour seems a bit "off". It looks rather subdued or muted. That is not necessarily a bad thing as the blues are pleasing.

Yes, going to start adjusting my white balance on camera more. I think also, shooting in daylight is not helping. Must start getting up early if I want to do better work
    Thank you!!

Hi Susan, thank you. They are quite beautiful. It was fun watching him/her "fishing". They don't let you get close, so a better telephoto or zoom lens would have helped. I have no zooms for my camera.
I am going to start manually adjusting white balance and see if that does some good things
