I knew my 7D Mk II had a video option but I had never even bothered to think about using it. Then I thought, one day this might be handy to have so I ought to know how to use it.
Not too difficult to shoot something basic as an example. But how about editing the result?
So I went to my old editing software (Serif Video Plus 5) but it wouldn't even recognise the modern formats. This meant a bit of thinking would be necessary. I wouldn't need anything for fancy effects, just basic good quality cutting out and stitching together.
After a bit of brain boiling, I remembered CS5 had a basic video editor so what about CC and after a bit of looking around the CC options I found the video editor section.
But how to use it? No instructions so I went to my old CS5 book which doesn't mention video.
So does anybody know where there are written instructions for using this video editor? Plenty of video tutorials but they are a waste of time with me. Somebody says do this then that as they frantically move around the screen and it all goes straight over my head! Nothing has sunk in when I return to my own screen. I need proper written advice which I can access at my own speed and keep returning to the things which are confusing me.
I will willingly purchase a basic book if such a thing exists. All I have found so far is a few simple lines from a site called Photography Life.
