Wine: Red Blend from Mendoza, Argentina

I'm drinking this wine as I'm creating this post, so there may be some typos.

The region of Mendoza, Argentina is noted for wine made from the Malbec grape species, especially wine made 100% from that species. Though this wine is made mostly from Malbec, it is blended with 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Petit Verdot.

I photographed this bottle because my wife and I especially like the refined, elegant style of the label, particularly its border, its ornamental decoration on the left and right sides, and its embossed horizontal lines in the paper. By comparison, we have been drinking lately a pure Malbec made by the same winery that has a less attractive label.

    Setup
The background is textured, brown art paper and the tabletop is transparent glass photographed so it would not be evident. A small continuous-light lamp is directly above and slightly in front of the bottle. That position raked light across the label to bring out the embossed horizontal lines. It also lit the words, Los Haroldos evenly, which are made of a highly shiny material that otherwise might have produced unattractive specular reflections. White reflectors on each side are positioned to create a wider reflection on the left than on the right. All of the reflections help define the shape of the bottle and the reflections on the bottle's shoulders somewhat frame the gold, circular sticker.

Malbec is one of my favorite wines; closely behind Port. I was a Cabernet fan for quite a while until traveling introduced me to more flavorful reds.

I like the splash of white behind the bottle, gives the composition a classic look.
