Purple Sage of American Southwest, and Anticrepuscular rays with double rainbow

There are at least 6 species of purple sage in the desert here. The color varies from deep purple to pink. They only bloom after a Summer rain, and for a very short time. The plants are so very beautiful that I thought I would share a few photos with you. These three photos were taken with a Canon Mark III, F22 (ISO between 100 and 1000.

I know is does not look like it but the area were these photos were taken receives about 10 inches of rain a year. Just thought I would throw in Anticrepuscular rays with rainbow. You commits and critique welcome.

Note: It was raining in photo with rainbow, it is not sharp image , just an unusual sight.

Good focus depth and potential over exposure spots have been avoided.

Very small spot near the top of the first image, possibly a distant bird?

#4 is my fav. Beautiful images all around. Nice details on the flowers.
#1 feels a bit over saturated to me, or the sky colors in parts near the cliffs seem off, but alas, I am a mere amateur so

I like them all but, my favorites are #1 (although I'd like a bit cropped from image left) and #4...

Going with #4 image. My sage brush is growing like weeds. I only have two of them -- the common sage (purple flower) which last about 5 years of neglect and now I added a pineapple sage (good for butterflies and hummingbirds). Common sage is what I use in my kitchen frequently but pineapple sage, has the most beautiful flowers and are used for tea and salad. I will try them this summer. Anyway, the rest of the images are pretty, but #4 beats them all.
